Quality Management System Technician

Location: Falconer, NY

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (overtime required; flexibility needed)

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour

Position Overview

The QMS Technician will support and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards. This role is responsible for managing corrective actions, internal audits, and document control while partnering cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update QMS procedures and work instructions in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards
• Facilitate review, revision, and disposition of QMS documentation
• Train process owners on proper documentation standards and consistency requirements
• Lead and coordinate internal corrective action processes
• Assist teams in identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues
• Track and report metrics on corrective actions for management review
• Conduct internal audits and identify improvement opportunities
• Support external and customer QMS audits
• Perform additional quality-related duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards
• Knowledge of quality software systems for document control and corrective actions (e.g., BPA or similar)
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone)
• Experience conducting or supporting QMS audits
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)
