Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures
- Set up and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a sterile field throughout all surgical procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide instruments and supplies accordingly
- Follow instructions from physicians and registered nurses while adhering to established policies
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, including standard precautions
- Monitor the operating room environment to maintain safety and efficiency
- Assist with cleaning and restocking of surgical areas after procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

- 8-week contract position
- Shift is 12 hrs/day (11 AM - 12 AM), 36 hrs/week
- Location is Summit, NJ 07901
- Pay Range for Locals: $42 - $46 per hour
