Mechanic - Gas & Diesel

PRICE ELECTRIC is hiring a skilled Mechanic out of our Robins, IA facility to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel construction equipment. This role supports our construction fleet to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.
What you'll do:

• Inspect and maintain construction equipment (boring drills, excavators, skid loaders, etc.) including internal systems and controls
• Perform test drives and run diagnostic tests
• Diagnose mechanical issues through testing and troubleshooting
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to keep company vehicles safe
• Complete service logs and report equipment issues
• Perform mobile welding and respond to service calls

What we're looking for:

• Mechanical education/certification (or equivalent) and 3 years of experience diagnosing and maintaining gas/diesel engines and equipment (including welding)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical job duties - full range of motion and dexterity; walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
• Ability to read manuals and use computer systems
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Valid Class A CDL preferred but not required, if an otherwise qualified candidate with a valid Driver License wishes to obtain a Class A CDL, the company may assist with CDL training and testing costs and additional compensation would be discussed
