What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Assistant position at Prestonwood Baptist Church?
Responsible for enforcing Prestonwood Sports Organization (“PSO”) rules and policies and enrolling new members.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register and complete transactions
- Distribute and return equipment
- Enforce PSO rules
- Facilitate membership registration process by explaining how membership is requested and costs associated with membership
- Confidential handling of information provided by members
- Administrative tasks as assigned
- Use the PSO website and other information to provide guests with information about upcoming events, open times, etc.
- Securely open and close the Sports and Fitness Center
- Monitor the safety of the gym, weight/cardio room and workout facilities, including the retrieval of loose equipment, balls, etc.
- Ensure the weight/cardio room is kept clean by regularly wiping down commonly used equipment
- Assist with concession sales as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and communicate effectively
- Able to learn POS software
- Ability to work weekday nights (approximate schedule 4:00 – 8:00pm) with flexibility to work weekends
- Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart or equipment, use of stairs, and able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certifications (training provided by PBC)
