6-Month Temporary Assignment (Potential Extension)
Hybrid Schedule – In Office Thursdays / Remote Other Days
Important: Candidates must have their own computer to use while working remotely. Workstations will be provided for in-office days.
Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and contract administration activities in a fast-paced government environment.
This role coordinates procurement needs, manages contracts, and provides guidance to staff on purchasing procedures and compliance with procurement regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities using existing state and agency contracts
- Develop and issue solicitations, evaluate bids, and recommend contract awards
- Work with end users to clarify requirements and develop specifications
- Obtain quotes and review purchase requests
- Administer contracts, amendments, and extensions
- Monitor contract performance and resolve compliance issues
- Maintain procurement databases and documentation
- Provide training and support to staff on purchasing procedures and systems
- Research products, services, pricing, and availability to support purchasing decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 2 years of procurement experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Suite
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or with government procurement processes
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and contract administration
