Premier Genesee Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our IN-HOUSE skilled nursing facility team! The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic activities and interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy treatments and procedures as directed by the Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Assist residents in improving or maintaining the ability to perform daily living activities.
- Document resident progress and communicate observations to the supervising OT.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic resident care.
- Instruct residents and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to maximize independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to the development of individualized treatment goals.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the NBCOT.
- Valid state license to practice as a COTA.
- Previous experience in a SNF or geriatric care setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary : $30 - $38
