Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center is looking for a FULL TIME Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the licensed therapist in assessing residents.
- Support therapists with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
- Implement resident care plans as directed by the licensed therapist.
- Conduct exercise programs and train residents in mobility, daily living activities, and therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor, document, and report resident responses to treatment.
- Participate in educational sessions for residents, families, and staff.
- Help maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Graduate of an accredited two-year Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current New York State license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience with older adults or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of therapy procedures and practices.
- Strong advocacy skills for seniors and their families.
- Availability to work holidays.
- Cooperative team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.
- Ability to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodations available).
- Capable of working independently and effectively with residents, staff, families, visitors, and regulatory personnel.
