Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center is looking for a FULL TIME Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the licensed therapist in assessing residents.
• Support therapists with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
• Implement resident care plans as directed by the licensed therapist.
• Conduct exercise programs and train residents in mobility, daily living activities, and therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor, document, and report resident responses to treatment.
• Participate in educational sessions for residents, families, and staff.
• Help maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current New York State license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Experience with older adults or in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of therapy procedures and practices.
• Strong advocacy skills for seniors and their families.
• Availability to work holidays.
• Cooperative team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.
• Ability to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodations available).
• Capable of working independently and effectively with residents, staff, families, visitors, and regulatory personnel.
