Test Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to perform a wide range of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tasks. This role focuses on cable assembly, prototype and production assembly, repair of field and lab assets, and initial builds in collaboration with Engineering.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and report discrepancies in engineering drawings before assemblies reach the production floor.

It's required to be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture cables, prototypes, and production assemblies following schematics, engineering drawings, models, and written/verbal instructions.
• Repair and refurbish field and lab assets as needed.
• Work directly with Engineering on initial builds and first drafts in an assembly setting.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed formats.
• Perform calibration checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Modify and repair test equipment and prototypes according to drawings, specifications, or engineering liaison direction.
• Identify and document engineering discrepancies found during assembly and provide feedback to prevent issues in production.
• Perform all duties in a safe, compliant manner and promptly notify supervision of any issues impacting business operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience working with engineering first drafts in an assembly environment.
• Ability to receive and maintain a secret clearance
• Ability to determine when corrections are needed on engineering drawings.
• Proficient in reading schematics, engineering drawings, and 3D models.
• Experience with cable manufacturing, prototype assembly, and electromechanical repairs.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
