The Vice President of Energy Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth across the company’s Solar, EV Charging, and Energy Storage business lines. This executive will develop and execute high-impact sales strategies, build and lead a top-performing team, expand market presence, and cultivate strong relationships with key partners and customers. The ideal candidate brings deep industry expertise, proven executive leadership, and a track record of delivering year-over-year sales growth within the clean energy sector.
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Lead the sales organization across solar, EV charging, and energy storage markets to achieve annual revenue goals.
- Develop and execute long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and guide product/solution positioning to maximize competitiveness.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline development, and performance management.
Team Management & Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team with clear goals, accountability, and professional development plans.
- Partner closely with marketing, operations, engineering, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Cultivate relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, utilities, EPCs, developers, and commercial/industrial clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and strategic partnerships to support scalable growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings across Texas and the U.S.
Operational & Organizational Excellence
- Implement best-in-class sales processes, tools, and reporting practices.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to inform strategic recommendations.
- Ensure sales activities reflect the company’s values, brand, and customer experience standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 7 years of progressive sales experience in solar, EV charging, and/or energy storage industries.
- Minimum 4 years of executive or senior management experience, leading multi-disciplinary sales teams.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and scaling sales organizations.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, incentive structures, and industry sales cycles.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Must reside in Texas and be willing to travel up to 30%.
