Job Title: Power BI Developer (Mid-Level) / Business Analyst

Location: Baltimore MD 21201

Duration of Contract: 6months with Potential to extend

Salary Range: $70-$80hr plus benefits @90 days (healthcare/401k)

Work Schedule: 40hrs

Format: Hybrid Tue, Wed, Thu In Office (M&F WFH)

Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Power BI Developer with strong business analysis capabilities to support portfolio reporting and data-driven decision-making. This role will partner closely with program leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to transform complex, messy data into clear, actionable insights through impactful dashboards and reporting.

The ideal candidate is not just a report builder, but a data translator and storyteller who can bridge the gap between technical data and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program leadership and stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements
• Translate business needs into data models, metrics, and reporting solutions
• Design and develop executive-ready Power BI dashboards focused on:
• Portfolio health
• Schedule tracking
• Risk monitoring
• Workload and performance metrics
• Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
• Use Excel for ad-hoc analysis, data validation, and reporting support
• Provide clear, concise insights and recommendations to leadership in non-technical language
• Continuously improve dashboards and reporting based on stakeholder feedback
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting assets

Must-Have Experience

• Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard and report development

• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst
• Requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder collaboration
• Experience supporting leadership-level reporting and decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Power BI certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience working with utility data environments
• Familiarity with:
• Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
• CRM platforms, ideally Saratoga CRM
