The position, Analyst – Dashboard Development, will play a key role in supporting StepStone’s analytics, reporting, and technology by creating, analyzing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and ad-hoc analyses. This role supports firmwide analytics and reporting initiatives that provide valuable insights to both internal and external stakeholders. Essential Job Functions
- Partner with senior team members to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Design and implement semantic models based on established guidelines. Prioritize use of dbt and Snowflake to separate data logic and dashboard logic.
- Support version control processes (Git) and adhere to established best practices.
- Help facilitate project management responsibilities for material efforts.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Build expertise in StepStone's business model, private markets, and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field preferred but not required.
- Analytics experience is preferred, especially in dashboard development, but not required.
- Proven record of making meaningful contributions to projects, coursework, or professional settings that demonstrated measurable impact.
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI (DAX); experience with dbt, Python, or similar data transformation and modeling tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Fabric platform and/or the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.
- Solid foundation in data modeling, dashboard design, and BI best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to change.
- Naturally inquisitive, eager to learn new technologies and evolving tools.
