Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machines and equipment with precision to meet production quotas and quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance continuously, adjusting settings as needed for optimal operation.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on packaging machinery to prevent downtime and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Handle materials safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards.
- Assist in setup, changeovers, and calibration of packaging machines for different product runs.
- Document production data accurately, including quantities produced, machine issues, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating packaging machines or industrial equipment in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and recording production data accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including PPE use and safety protocol adherence.
- Understanding of GMP guidelines relevant to food or product manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and safety compliance.
