Duties
- Support press operators by preparing printing materials, including paper loading and cutting to specifications
- Assist with machine setup, calibration, and adjustments for large-format printers, flexo presses, and digital printers
- Monitor printing processes to ensure color accuracy, quality control, and consistent output
- Help troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance on printing equipment
- Interpret production documents and follow layout designs using prepress software and graphic design tools
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the printing area to uphold safety standards
- Support quality assurance by inspecting printed materials for defects and ensuring adherence to client specifications
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of printing processes including screen printing, digital printing, and flexo press operation
- Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus
- Knowledge of color management principles and typography for print production
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for interpreting production documents
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while following safety protocols
- Prior experience or training in manufacturing or print production is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
