We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Folder Operator to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Operate folding machines and related equipment to process printed materials accurately and efficiently
- Set up and adjust machinery based on job specifications, ensuring optimal performance for each project
- Monitor production runs closely, performing quality control checks to detect and correct any defects or inconsistencies
- Collaborate with prepress and graphic design teams to interpret job requirements and ensure proper layout and color management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
- Assist with machine maintenance, including routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes related to print production, including flexo press operations and CNC machining techniques
- Experience with screen printing, prepress workflows, and layout design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency in color management principles to ensure color accuracy across various print jobs
- Familiarity with quality control standards specific to print advertising and packaging industries
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when handling raw materials or finished products
- Understanding of typography, layout design, and print finishing techniques
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting CNC equipment and flexo presses
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
