Platinum recently opened its flagship Beverly Hills, CA studio. With 15,000 square feet of studio space, Platinum Studios handles over 175 live stream hours and 500 in-house UGC video productions per day. It also serves as a creator sample center, event space, and office space for our team members.

The Role

We're looking for a charismatic, sales-savvy Live Host to support our TikTok Shop auction live streams, which are based out of our Beverly Hills studio. As a Live Host you are the on-camera personality who introduces products, demonstrates them, engages the audience in real time, and drives viewers to purchase during the stream. This is an independent contractor engagement well suited to on-camera talent, content creators, and performers who thrive in a live, interactive selling environment.

What You'll Do

• Host live, on-camera on TikTok Shop for scheduled sessions, presenting products with energy, clarity, and authenticity.
• Demonstrate and sell products in real time — highlighting features, benefits, promotions, and offers to convert viewers into buyers.
• Engage the live audience by reading and responding to comments, answering questions, and building rapport and momentum throughout the broadcast.
• Prepare talking points, product knowledge, and on-screen calls to action ahead of each session in partnership with the brand and content teams.
• Adapt scripts, offers, and pacing on the fly to keep engagement high and hit viewership and sales goals during the stream.
• Collaborate with producers, brand managers, and the affiliate team on session planning, product line-ups, and promotional strategy.
• Review key metrics after each stream — views, engagement, conversion, and sales — and apply feedback to improve future broadcasts.
• Maintain a professional, on-brand presence and appearance consistent with each brand's voice and audience.

What We're Looking For

• Magnetic on-camera presence with strong verbal communication and the confidence to perform live for an audience.
• Experience in sales, live streaming, hosting, on-air/broadcast, acting, content creation, promotions, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Natural ability to think on your feet, improvise, and stay composed and upbeat during live, unscripted moments.
• Familiarity of TikTok, TikTok Shop, live shopping, and social commerce trends — and genuine enthusiasm for the format.
• Results orientation with a drive to hit engagement and conversion goals.
• Reliability and dependability — able to commit to a consistent broadcast schedule on-site in Beverly Hills.
• Eligibility to work as an independent contractor (1099) and provide required documentation.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience hosting TikTok Shop or other live-commerce broadcasts with measurable sales results.
• An existing following or personal brand on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
• Familiarity with beauty, grooming, wellness, or lifestyle products.
• Fluency in a second language for reaching broader audiences.

Compensation & Engagement Details

Rate

$22–$75 per hour, depending on experience and performance

Independent Contractor (1099) — this is not a W-2 employee position

Reports to

Live Commerce / TikTok Shop Team

As an independent contractor, you set your own methods for delivering results, supply your own general tax reporting, and are responsible for self-employment taxes. This engagement does not include employee benefits. Compensation within the stated range is determined by experience, on-camera ability, and demonstrated sales performance.
