The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Signal Integrity, Power Integrity & Characterisation Engineer to join a growing hardware team. You will take ownership of electrical characterisation for high-speed interfaces and power delivery networks across advanced compute systems.
Working closely with SI/PI engineers, PCB designers and hardware architects, you'll develop scalable automated test solutions, validate high-speed hardware performance and provide critical feedback to improve future designs.
Key Responsibilities
Characterise high-speed serial interfaces using BER testing, eye diagram analysis and PVT characterisation.
Optimise transmitter and receiver equalisation settings to maximise link performance.
Measure transient noise, voltage droop and power rail performance across complex power delivery networks.
Characterise PDN impedance and validate against target specifications.
Develop scalable Electrical Design Validation Test (EDVT) automation capable of validating large numbers of high-speed interfaces.
Work closely with SI/PI engineers on package and interconnect optimisation.
About You
You'll ideally have:
5-10 years' experience in Signal Integrity, Power Integrity or hardware characterisation.
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar).
Strong understanding of high-speed serial communication systems and SerDes technologies.
Excellent knowledge of transmission line theory, signal integrity and electromagnetic effects.
Experience with power delivery network analysis and optimisation.
Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, VNAs, BERTs, TDRs and other electronic test equipment.
Python scripting experience for laboratory automation.
