Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking an experienced Front Desk Coordinator to join our Patient Services team at our Jacksonville health center. This role supports the daily front desk operations, insurance accuracy, and patient experience while ensuring strong revenue cycle practices. The position reports to the Health Center Manager.

Snapshot of Key Accountabilities of the Front Desk Coordinator
Coordinate daily front desk operations including opening and closing procedures, check-in, check-out, and patient flow.
Ensure financial and insurance information is entered accurately and in compliance with affiliate and revenue cycle standards.
Complete real-time eligibility and insurance coverage verification prior to patient visits and collect appropriate co-pays and deductibles at time of service.
Confirm providers are credentialed with patient insurance plans prior to scheduled visits.
Manage daily front desk claims-related activities to support revenue cycle goals.
Serve as a resource for front desk staff regarding billing, insurance, and workflow questions.
Train and support front desk staff including onboarding, development, and performance accountability.
Ensure InBasket tasks and message pools are completed daily.
Provide exceptional customer service and utilize the REACT Service Recovery model when issues arise.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting area throughout the day.
Support patient experience goals including Press Ganey outcomes and TCPC standards.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, compliance activities, and other duties as assigned.
Work evenings, weekends, and at other health centers as business needs require.
Experience and Education of the Front Desk Coordinator:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an outpatient medical office with direct responsibility for insurance verification and patient financial processes.
Required working knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 diagnosis coding, and medical pre-certification and prior authorization protocols.
Experience working with insurance plans including co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, COBRA, referrals, and authorizations.
Previous healthcare front desk leadership or coordination experience required.
Strong understanding of and commitment to reproductive rights and the mission of Planned Parenthood.
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to function appropriately in sensitive situations.
Comfortable discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy options.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
BLS certification may be required depending on assignment.

Benefits and Compensation:
- Hourly compensation range for the Front Desk Coordinator: Starting at $23.00/hour
- Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days from your hire date.
- Paid Time Off accrues immediately but can't be taken until after 90 full days of employment: We value work-life balance, offering generous PTO and holidays.
