Infusion RN Job Details – Irvine, CA
- Location: Irvine, California 92618
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Infusion Center – Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel RN Contract
- Start Date: September 16, 2025
- End Date: December 16, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:30 – 17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250 - $2310 per week
- Orientation: 24 hours provided
- Scrubs: Grey or teal (not provided)
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Infusion RN or in an Outpatient Oncology RN role
- Current BLS certification
- Chemo Certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other infusions to adult and geriatric oncology patients
- Access and manage central lines, ports, and PICC lines
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond to emergencies (e.g., anaphylaxis, sepsis, tumor lysis syndrome)
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, recognize and communicate abnormal lab values, and provide patient and family education/support
- Document all care in the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including APPs, charge/resource nurses, pharmacy, and social services
- Participate in unit-based research, quality improvement, and teaching activities as needed
