Telemetry RN Job Details – Lexington, KY
- Location: Lexington, Kentucky 40508
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: 12/2/2025 – End: 3/10/2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Total Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800–$1840
- Unit: Telemetry (GS 4 West Tele)
- Patient Population: Adult patients
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Active Compact RN license or Kentucky Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry or Medical-Surgical nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
- Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Successful completion of EKG onboarding, Med/Surg Tele competency, math, and pharmacology exams
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required
- Willingness to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
- Local travelers within 75 miles are not eligible
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a busy telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms, identifying and managing dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with facility policies
- Participate in onboarding and annual competency modules
- Float to other nursing units or affiliate hospitals as required to support patient care
