Position Overview
- Supports surgical teams in the operative setting by delivering professional nursing care for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Performs scrub functions, including handling instruments and supplies.
- Conducts circulating duties such as monitoring patient conditions, recording data, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assists surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification within 1 month of hire; ACLS certification within 6 months.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred scrub experience.
