- Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Conduct circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited nursing school.
- Certifications required include BLS within 30 days and Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
- Basic life support certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross are accepted.
