Position Overview
- Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions, including handling instruments and supplies.
- Manage circulating duties such as monitoring patient condition, recording, and communicating updates.
- Assist surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 180 days.
- Educational requirement includes a diploma from an accredited nursing school.
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care.
- Assist surgical team with instrument handling and patient management.
- Ensure operating room readiness and proper preparation of surgical tools.
