Role: Surgical Technologist responsible for supporting surgical teams in an operating room setting, performing scrubbing and circulating duties across multiple specialties including general, urology, robotics, plastic, neurosurgery, thoracic, eye, ENT, GYN, vascular, and orthopedic surgery.
Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies, assist during surgeries, anticipate surgeon needs, transport patients and specimens, participate in training and orientation of staff and students, and respond promptly to operating room communications. Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols, conduct post-operation cleaning, and support equipment setup and decontamination.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training, certified as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent, U.S. citizen, with a minimum of 3 years recent OR experience. Must obtain health clearances, TB screening, and background checks. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and maintain professional hygiene.
Additional duties include assisting in training, responding to communications, and supporting surgical procedures at a medical center without telework options. The role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and technical proficiency.
