Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently to process sales accurately.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service and beverage recommendations.
• Handle retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling, processing cash transactions, and managing credit card payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, counters, seating areas, and food handling surfaces to uphold food safety standards.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or café experience is preferred; familiarity with beverage service is highly valued.
• Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Experience in food service or retail sales transactions is advantageous; previous barista experience is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
