What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Housekeeper position at Pisgah Inn?
Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway is hiring for a Housekeeper for our 2026 season. Our season is April 1st through November 1st.

On-site dorm room shared with roommate available if needed. Must be able to work up to 6 days a week if live on-site.
Hours: 8am to 3:30 pm. Two to Three Days a Week
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Making beds and cleaning bathrooms
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
- Become proficient in completing a room within the given time frame (30 minutes)
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of carts and replace when appropriate
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
- Stripping beds
- Wash, dry and fold linens and towels
- Distributing clean linens to carts
Requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hour shifts
- Customer-oriented and friendly
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Must be eligible to work in U.S.
- Background Check Required
