Maintenance Associate

Pisgah Inn, located at the peak of the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round Maintenance Associate position.

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Summary: Pisgah Inn Maintenance staff conducts all maintenance tasks at the resort's facilities.

Benefits include health insurance, one week vacation after one year and some holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Complete work orders and directives assigned by the Facilities Manager
- On-call rotation for after hours maintenance issues

- Available for special projects as needed
- Assist in other areas of the resort on an "as needed" basis

- Must work 5 days a week to include weekends during operating season (April 1 to October 31).

Monday - Friday workweek in off season (November 1 to March 31).

Groundswork:

• Mowing lawns
• Trimming hedges
• Watering plants when needed

Customer Service Expectations:

Must be helpful, friendly, courteous and maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Pisgah Inn's vision to provide superior customer service.

Qualifications:
*High school and/or trade school diploma
*Minimum 2 years maintenance experience
*Valid driver license/reliable transportation

**Four wheel or all wheel drive vehicle

Required knowledge and skills:
*General facilities maintenance knowledge including light carpentry, painting, plumbing and light electrical. HVAC is not required though is helpful.
*Proficient in the proper use of hand tools, lawn equipment and power tools.
*Strong organizational and communication skills.

Physical and mental demands:
*Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and twisting.
*Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
