Seeking a senior leader to develop and execute the external affairs strategy for a growing utility-scale energy and digital infrastructure portfolio. This role will lead government relations, regulatory engagement, public affairs, community outreach, and strategic partnerships to support project development, permitting, and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute government and external affairs strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build relationships with government agencies, regulators, policymakers, industry groups, and community stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, influencing policy and advocating for initiatives that support project development.
- Lead public relations, communications, media engagement, and crisis response efforts.
- Oversee community engagement and stakeholder outreach to support project acceptance.
- Partner with development, legal, and executive leadership on permitting, regulatory strategy, and external communications.
- Lead and develop the external affairs team while providing regular updates on policy, stakeholder engagement, and strategic initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Business, Environmental Studies, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or external relations, including leadership experience.
- Background in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, data centers, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of government processes, permitting, regulatory environments, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Salary : $200,000 - $275,000
