Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support the execution of utility-scale energy storage projects and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role will focus on risk management, employee safety, incident prevention, and continuous improvement across project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses
- Support emergency response planning and preparedness
- Manage environmental compliance, waste handling, and sustainability initiatives
- Maintain EHS documentation, records, and regulatory reporting
- Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and compliance
Requirements
- 5 years of EHS experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, or related environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance standards
- Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety programs
- Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Public Health, or related field
- Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, OSHA Outreach Trainer, or NEBOSH
- Experience supporting large-scale energy, industrial, manufacturing, or construction projects
- Experience implementing EHS management systems and improving safety performance metrics
