Assistant Project Manager (Solar)

Piper Maddox is partnered with a rapidly growing distributed energy infrastructure platform that is actively looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of distributed generation solar and battery storage projects across the US.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious early-career construction professional or recent engineering graduate looking to build a long-term career in renewable energy. Working directly alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll gain exposure across the full project lifecycle while developing the skills and experience needed to progress into a Project Manager role.

The company finances, owns, and operates a diversified portfolio of solar, battery storage, and other distributed energy assets nationwide. Following significant institutional investment and continued portfolio growth, they are entering an exciting phase of expansion and are looking to invest in the next generation of construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Management team with the delivery of distributed generation solar and battery storage projects
• Assist with project documentation, reporting, scheduling, and project administration
• Review contracts and project documentation to identify key milestones and critical project dates
• Maintain accurate project information within the company's proprietary project management platform
• Support document control, project tracking, and communication between internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, and project partners throughout the construction lifecycle
• Participate in occasional project site visits as responsibilities develop
• Progressively take on greater ownership of project responsibilities while working alongside senior construction leaders

What They're Looking For:

• 0-3 years of experience within construction, engineering, renewable energy, or another related technical field
• Experience with a distributed generation solar EPC, developer, or similar organization is preferred but not required
• Recent graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience are encouraged to apply
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related technical discipline preferred
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to develop a long-term career in project management
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to work across multiple stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems independently and think beyond day-to-day tasks
