What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Director position at Piper Maddox?
Piper Maddox are currently recruiting for a Payroll Director to join our client – a $1 Billion dollar manufacturing firm.
In this role, you will be responsible for a number of things including:
- Overseeing end-to-end payroll operations (processing, time & attendance, tax filings, garnishments, prevailing wage compliance) and serve as SME/escalation point.
- Manage the entire Payroll team.
- Maintain prevailing wage rates and fringe benefit tables in line with federal, state, and county requirements
- Liaise with DOL and third parties on prevailing wage and certified payroll compliance
The ideal candidate will have a background similar to the below:
- A minimum of 5 years working within Payroll.
- Extensive experience with the UKG systems.
- Must have experience in a leadership, managerial or supervisory position.
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions is a strong plus.
- Experience with Unions will be extremely valuable.
