Piper Companies is seeking a Mid-Level Platform Engineer to join a healthcare organization located in Fort Washington, PA through a hybrid, full-time, permanent position. The Mid-Level Platform Engineer will focus primarily on managing and supporting enterprise platform infrastructure by administering identity and directory services, automating operations through scripting, maintaining security and compliance standards, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting complex incidents to ensure reliable and scalable services.

Responsibilities of the Mid-Level Platform Engineer include:
- Administer and optimize core platform services, including Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, OU structure, and domain infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Manage enterprise identity and certificate services, including PKI infrastructure, digital certificates, CRLs, OCSP, and authentication/authorization integrations.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation, creating scripts and reusable modules to streamline operations, system maintenance, and reporting.
- Implement security and compliance best practices across Active Directory and certificate services while supporting audits, access reviews, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor platform health and performance, proactively identifying capacity, availability, and service issues.
- Troubleshoot complex platform problems and incidents, including domain controllers, replication, GPOs, authentication, and certificate-related services while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree is desired, but NOT required
- Data Center consolidation experience is a plus
- Strong scripting and documentation skills, with the ability to create clear technical documentation and maintain operational runbooks, strong understanding of Windows
- Experience building and managing servers using infrastructure-as-code, including template management with Terraform.
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise environments, including incident response, Active Directory, and Group Policy (GPO) management.
- Salary Range: $100,000-115,000/annually
- This is a full-time, hybrid position; 2 days a week is required onsite at either Fort Washington, PA or Allentown, PA location.
