Client:
Our client is a large global asset manager and OCIO. They are currently seeking a Senior Principal for their Boston office, to work on their client-facing team, overseeing client portfolios consisting of wide-ranging assets. This growing firm focuses on hiring candidates who will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Opportunity:
The Senior Principal will provide comprehensive investment management services for client portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Development of investment strategies and custom portfolio management
- First line day-to-day contacts for clients, providing timely, regular portfolio reviews and discussions
- Maintaining frequent contact with clients, responding to requests for review of external investment opportunities, charitable giving, and estate planning, among other topics
- Creating the agenda and supporting materials for client meetings across portfolio composition, investment performance, market, and macroeconomic topics
- Leading discussions and responding to client questions on investment strategy
- Management and development of junior team members who support the Senior Principal and their clients in their range of responsibilities
- Additional projects/activities as needed
- Adherence to all information security policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and privacy controls
Qualifications:
- 12 years of relevant experience (consulting, investment banking, or asset management)
- Experience in a closely-related field (endowments, foundations, family offices, investment consulting firms) is a plus
- Undergraduate degree with a strong track record of academic performance
- MBA or professional certification (CFA, CAIA) is a plus
- Proven understanding and passion for investing and markets
- Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Intellectually curious, willing to work with a focus on the success of the firm
- Willingness to mentor and train junior team members
