Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a Pilates Educator based in Southlake, TX. The Pilates Educator will plan and lead group and private Pilates sessions that reflect the studio’s blend of classical principles and contemporary intensity. Responsibilities include demonstrating exercises with safe and precise form, offering modifications and progressions, and providing clear, upbeat cuing throughout each class. The role involves educating clients on proper alignment, breath, and core engagement, while monitoring participants for safety and offering hands-on or verbal adjustments as appropriate. The Pilates Educator will also support studio operations by preparing the classroom, maintaining equipment, assisting with client check-in and engagement, and collaborating with the team to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive or mat/reformer Pilates certification from a recognized training program, with strong knowledge of classical and contemporary Pilates principles.
- Experience leading group classes and private sessions, including the ability to design intelligent, progressive, and results-oriented workouts.
- Solid understanding of anatomy, functional movement, injury prevention, and safe exercise progressions and regressions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, encourage, and educate clients of varying fitness levels.
- Professionalism and reliability, including punctuality, preparedness, and the ability to follow studio protocols and safety standards.
- Comfort working in a high-energy, client-focused studio environment, including occasional evenings or weekends as scheduled.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Previous experience in boutique fitness, dance, yoga, or related movement disciplines is beneficial.
