JOB SUMMARY
Typical Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm
Monday - Friday
The Housekeeper under the direction of the EVS Director is responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with cleaning, sanitizing, and general maintenance of the hospital so as to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition. The Housekeeper is also responsible for disposing of trash, recyclables, and medical waste according to policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer service with all levels of patients and clinic staff
Cleaning and sanitizing patient exam rooms, facilities, office areas, kitchen and lobby areas, and other areas designated by the EVS Director
Ensure supplies are stocked and readily available at all times
Ensure trash removal of designated assigned areas and proper disposal
Follow proper biohazard procedures and ensure compliance for the different governmental agencies
Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic. Housekeepers are expected to interact with our patients, visitors, and coworkers in a warm and friendly manner while cleaning.
Previous experience in the healthcare or hospitality field is helpful
