About Us:
Pierogi Bar St Pete is proud to be the only Ukrainian restaurant in Florida, specializing in authentic Ukrainian and Eastern European cuisine. We’re growing our team and are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef who shares our passion for tradition, excellence, and hospitality.
Position: Sous Chef
Our ideal candidate is a self-driven, motivated, and dependable culinary professional with strong knowledge of Ukrainian and Eastern European food culture. Ukrainian language skills are a plus but not required.
Compensation:
Training and onboarding begins at line cook pay rate, with evaluation-based pay increase after the learning period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor BOH staff to meet company culinary and service standards
- Collaborate on menu development and create new dishes as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of ingredients
- Maintain efficient and organized kitchen operations
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a sous chef or chef
- Strong understanding of kitchen equipment, workflow, and health regulations
- Ability to lead, delegate, and support team members under pressure
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
