Overview
Piedmont Candy Company is hiring a Manufacturing Production Manager to support our growing operations and lead the launch of our 2nd shift production team.
This role will train on 1st shift before transitioning into a 2nd shift leadership position. You’ll oversee kitchen and packaging operations, lead teams, and drive production performance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop production supervisors and frontline teams
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations (kitchen packaging)
- Ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on time
- Maintain food safety, GMP, and HACCP compliance
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Support hiring, training, and employee development
Qualifications
- 3 years of Production or Operations Management experience (required)
- Manufacturing experience required; food manufacturing preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Hands-on leadership style; comfortable working on the production floor
Schedule
- Train on 1st shift (temporary)
- Transition to 2nd shift leadership role
