What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer & Inspector - 1st Shift position at PIEDMONT CANDY COMPANY?
HOURS:7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
Wages:$13/hr to start
$13.50/hr after 90 days
$13.75/hr after 6 months
General Summary:
- Works in a fast-paced environment
- Pays attention to detail, i.e. no date, broken tubs/lids, defects non-efficient weight by sight, tape/box issues
- Ensures lids are closed on tubs
- Pack Tubs in the correct boxes is an efficient amount of time.
- Take containers of candy to the inspector
- Package different size bags
- Understanding of how many bags go into each case
- Understand and able to start and stop bagger
- Keep area clean
- Ensures materials are provided in a timely manner and to the correct line.
- Adherence to all personal protection equipment (PPEs) and general manufacturing procedures (GMPs)
