PIC Staffing is seeking experienced O&M Technicians to support operations and maintenance activities at a newly constructed Central Utility Plant (CUP) supporting a large industrial manufacturing campus in Marshall, Michigan. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining plant utility systems and auxiliary equipment in a fast-paced industrial utility environment. Technicians will support startup, commissioning, daily plant operations, and ongoing maintenance activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor utility plant systems including gas turbines, HRSGs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and associated balance-of-plant equipment
- Perform startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and routine operational activities in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards
- Conduct equipment rounds, record operational data, identify abnormal conditions, and initiate corrective actions as needed
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems and plant equipment
- Support plant startup, commissioning, electrical switching, and LOTO activities as assigned
- Complete work orders, operating logs, maintenance records, and other plant documentation accurately
- Support site safety initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and communication with plant personnel, contractors, and vendors
- Experience supporting utility or industrial plant systems including gas turbines, HRSGs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, compressed air, and water treatment systems
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of plant safety procedures including LOTO, confined space, chemical handling, and safe work practices
- Familiarity with PLC controls, plant control systems, and CMMS maintenance systems; Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred
- Ability to read gauges, meters, drawings, and technical documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and call-outs as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of power plant operations and maintenance experience required
- Prior experience in combined cycle, cogeneration, central utility plant, or industrial utility operations strongly preferred
- Experience with pipefitting, welding, rigging, rotating equipment repair, machine alignment, or vibration analysis preferred
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, heat transfer, fluid systems, thermal dynamics, and plant chemistry preferred
