Trading Operations Specialist

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Trade Operations professional to support the end-to-end processing, settlement, and reconciliation of trades across multiple asset classes. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring transactions are processed accurately, settled on time, and aligned with operational and regulatory standards. The position sits at the center of the Operations function and partners closely with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to keep trade flows moving efficiently and resolve issues proactively.

Responsibilities:

• Validate, process, and settle trades across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and additional financial products
• Monitor trade confirmations, allocations, and settlement activity while investigating and resolving exceptions
• Reconcile trade activity with custodians, brokers, and counterparties to ensure accuracy and mitigate operational risk
• Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, and external parties to troubleshoot failed settlements and reduce recurring breaks
• Maintain accurate transaction records and assist with audit requests, controls testing, and compliance reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency and scalability

Qualifications:

• Experience within Trade Operations, Settlements, or Middle Office environments
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, post-trade operations, and financial instruments
• Familiarity with platforms such as DTCC, Bloomberg, SWIFT, or similar industry systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort navigating multiple financial systems
• Eagerness to learn and gain exposure across multiple asset classes
