Fixed Income Operations Associate
Location: New York City (On-Site 5 Days/Week)
Our client, a top-tier hedge fund based in NYC, is seeking a Fixed Income Operations professional to join their growing team. This role requires direct, hands-on tri-party collateral management experience, alongside strong fixed income operations expertise. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience supporting fixed income products in a fast-paced investment management, hedge fund, or financial services environment, with proven exposure to tri-party repo workflows and collateral operations.
This individual will work closely with trading, treasury, finance, and middle office teams to ensure seamless daily operations across fixed income trade lifecycle and financing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operational processes across fixed income products including trade capture, settlements, reconciliations, and lifecycle events
- Partner with front office, treasury, accounting, and external counterparties to resolve breaks and operational issues
- Monitor trade flows and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
- Maintain strong controls and documentation across operational workflows
- Manage and support tri-party repo and collateral operations, including margin calls, collateral allocation, eligibility rules, substitutions, and settlement processing
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of Fixed Income Operations experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or similar financial institution
- Must have direct, hands-on tri-party repo and collateral management experience
- Strong understanding of fixed income products, financing structures, and full trade lifecycle events
- Experience working with tri-party agents (e.g., BNY Mellon, J.P. Morgan, Euroclear)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel skills required; VBA and Pivot Tables highly preferred
This position requires candidates to work on-site in NYC five days per week.
