Senior DTC Settlements Specialist

Our client, a well-established global investment bank and broker-dealer, is seeking a Senior DTC Settlements Specialist to join its Operations team in Jacksonville, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of the U.S. equity settlement lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, resolve settlement exceptions, and partner across internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate settlement of trades.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the end-to-end settlement process for equity trades through DTC.
- Monitor daily settlement activity and proactively resolve failed or unmatched trades.
- Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies by partnering with trading desks, counterparties, custodians, and internal operations teams.
- Process and monitor DTC Deliver Orders (DOs), Receives, RAD approvals, and related settlement activity.
- Ensure timely resolution of aged fails and support daily fail management.
- Perform daily reconciliations and investigate cash and position breaks.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance existing settlement processes.
- Assist with month-end reporting, audit requests, and operational projects as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- 5 years of experience in DTC Settlements, Securities Settlements, or Equity Operations within a broker-dealer, investment bank, or clearing firm.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. equity trade lifecycle and DTC settlement processes.
- Hands-on experience with DTC functions including Deliver Orders, Receives, and RAD.
- Experience managing settlement exceptions and failed trades.
- Knowledge of DTCC, NSCC, and related market infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across operations, trading, and technology teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a self-clearing broker-dealer.
- Exposure to institutional equity settlements.
- Experience supporting operational process improvements or automation initiatives.
