Key Responsibilities
AEM Authoring & Content Operations
- Serve as the senior AEM authoring expert, providing guidance on advanced authoring capabilities, best practices, content governance standards, publishing workflows, and operational processes.
- Author, edit, optimize, QA, publish, and maintain enterprise websites using Adobe Experience Manager Sites.
- Translate Figma, Adobe XD, or other design mockups into production-ready AEM pages using existing components while ensuring pixel-accurate implementation.
- Ensure all content adheres to established governance standards, accessibility requirements, SEO guidelines, metadata frameworks, tagging structures, and brand requirements prior to publication.
- Perform comprehensive quality assurance to ensure content accuracy, visual consistency, functionality, and cross-device compatibility prior to publication.
- Manage complex content updates across multiple websites and business initiatives while balancing competing priorities and meeting aggressive deadlines.
- Maintain visibility into active content initiatives, dependencies, timelines, risks, and readiness status, proactively escalating issues that could impact delivery.
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers, product owners, marketers, and QA teams to support new features, component enhancements, and content initiatives.
- Participate in requirements gathering and provide recommendations on content strategy, authoring workflows, governance practices, component usage, and platform capabilities.
Website Governance & Health
- Own authoring governance standards, publishing procedures, metadata requirements, tagging standards, content quality controls, and content lifecycle best practices.
- Conduct periodic audits of website content, metadata, tagging, and publishing practices to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Monitor website content health and identify opportunities to improve content quality, consistency, discoverability, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Establish and maintain documentation, governance standards, training materials, and authoring best practices.
- Ensure content is configured to support searchability, discoverability, SEO performance, content reuse, and AI/LLM content retrieval.
Partner & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Gradial and other authoring partners, providing training, guidance, quality oversight, and workflow support.
- Train, support, and collaborate with internal authors, agency partners, and Gradial resources to ensure consistent application of authoring standards, publishing workflows, metadata requirements, quality controls, and content governance practices.
- Review work produced by internal and external resources and provide feedback to ensure adherence to established standards and best practices.
Release Readiness & Delivery
- Partner with Development and QA teams to ensure content readiness for releases, component enhancements, and website launches.
- Coordinate content testing, validation, approvals, publishing plans, and launch support activities.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating authoring functionality, component behavior, personalization experiences, and publishing workflows.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and escalate defects while partnering with development teams through resolution.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and readiness gaps that may impact successful delivery.
Content & Asset Governance
- Support Adobe Experience Manager Digital Asset Management (DAM) best practices, including metadata management, tagging, asset organization, and governance.
- Partner with content authors, marketers, and developers to ensure digital assets are properly maintained and easily discoverable.
- Promote consistent asset management practices that support content quality, searchability, content reuse, and website performance.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Analytics teams to evaluate content performance and identify opportunities for optimization based on user behavior, search trends, engagement metrics, and business goals.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve authoring efficiency, governance processes, content quality, website performance, and user experience.
- Mentor junior authors and contribute to documentation, standards, training materials, and best practices.
- Recommend improvements to authoring processes, publishing workflows, governance models, and operational practices to increase efficiency and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites).
- Strong experience working with Adobe Experience Manager Digital Asset Management (DAM).
- Deep understanding of enterprise content management, content governance, and digital publishing workflows.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional proofreading, QA, and content validation skills.
- Experience working from Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, accessibility standards (WCAG), metadata strategy, content governance, and digital content optimization.
- Experience authoring with reusable AEM components, templates, experience fragments, and content fragments.
- Experience with metadata management, tagging strategies, and content governance best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Design, Product, Development, QA, Analytics, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Launch, or related personalization technologies.
- Experience working with offshore, nearshore, or third-party authoring partners.
- Understanding of headless CMS concepts and Content Fragments.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web technologies to support authoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and Confluence.
- Adobe Experience Manager certifications preferred.
