A leading top-tier hedge fund is seeking an experienced Options Operations Associate to join its high-performing Operations team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fast-paced trading environment where you'll play a critical role supporting the full lifecycle of listed options and equity derivatives.
The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of options operations experience within a hedge fund, investment bank, prime broker, or broker-dealer and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle for listed options and equity derivatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate trade capture, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, position discrepancies, and settlement issues.
- Partner closely with Trading, Prime Brokerage, Clearing, Technology, Finance, and Compliance teams.
- Process expirations, assignments, exercises, and corporate action events impacting options.
- Monitor daily operational risk and proactively identify process improvements.
- Assist with automation initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
- Maintain accurate books and records while ensuring adherence to internal controls.
Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of Options Operations experience within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of the listed options trade lifecycle.
- Experience with trade settlements, reconciliations, trade support, and exception management.
- Familiarity with OCC, DTCC, and clearing processes.
- Advanced Excel skills; SQL, Python, or VBA experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Hedge fund, prime brokerage, or investment banking operations background.
- Experience supporting high-volume equity and options trading desks.
- Exposure to automation, process improvement, or operational technology initiatives.
