DUTIES:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; similar work environment preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide simple numbers.
REASONING SKILLS: Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple tasks and create solutions as changes arise.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Food Handlers and/or ServSafe preferred but not required.
Other Skills And Abilities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to walk or stand for long periods of time as well frequently lift, reach, pull/push objects weighing up to 10 pounds (rarely up to 50 pounds), crouch or stoop.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, hot and extreme cold temperatures. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Assist with the meal preparation using recipes and portion control.
- Assist with preparation of snacks.
- Assist with delivery of the meal and snacks at specified times.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation following infection and sanitation guidelines.
- Review tray and tray card for accuracy based on physician prescribed diet, patient preferences and production spreadsheet.
- Maintain food and beverages within safe temperatures throughout preparation and serving.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, staff and patients.
