About the Role
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet of industrial machinery remains in peak operational condition. You will utilize your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose, repair, and recondition complex equipment, directly impacting our productivity and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive teardowns and rebuilds of industrial mobile equipment to restore full functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within hydraulic, electrical, and combustion engine systems, including diesel, gas, and LP power plants.
- Conduct rigorous in-process quality inspections to ensure every machine meets performance and safety benchmarks.
- Maintain a high standard of shop organization and safety by adhering to 5S principles and proactive hazard reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Manage the maintenance and proper care of specialized diagnostic tools and company-provided equipment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of professional experience diagnosing and repairing heavy mobile equipment.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and utilizing advanced diagnostic devices.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working in varied positions.
