About the Role
As a Commercial HVAC Chiller Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the peak performance and reliability of complex cooling systems. You will leverage your technical expertise in refrigeration and control systems to diagnose issues, execute repairs, and optimize equipment efficiency for our clients.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to maximize the operational lifespan of chiller units.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults in industrial refrigeration systems to minimize downtime.
- Perform precision repairs and component replacements, including motors, pumps, and control valves.
- Configure and troubleshoot advanced control hardware such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft-starts, and refrigeration controllers.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to safety protocols and industry standards during all field service activities.
- Utilize diagnostic instrumentation, including pressure gauges and thermometers, to validate system performance and output.
Required Skills
- Proven mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of chiller system architecture.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for industrial equipment repair.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights on ladders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients during service calls.
Preferred Skills
- Completion of a vocational or technical training program in HVAC/R.
- Three or more years of hands-on experience in industrial or commercial refrigeration service.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
