About the Role
As an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will ensure the seamless operation of high-speed manufacturing lines by diagnosing and repairing complex automated systems. You will play a vital role in maximizing equipment uptime and driving continuous improvement through your expertise in PLC programming and industrial electrical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across injection molding, blow molding, and auxiliary production machinery to maintain optimal throughput.
- Execute preventative maintenance schedules on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces, specifically utilizing Allen Bradley platforms to optimize machine performance.
- Analyze electrical schematics and blueprints to perform precise repairs on 3-phase circuits, AC/DC drives, and servo motors.
- Lead root cause analysis initiatives to identify recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions.
- Maintain a high standard of workplace organization and safety compliance in accordance with 5S and OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document maintenance procedures and train staff on new equipment modifications.
Required Skills
- Proven experience troubleshooting industrial automation, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and high-voltage power systems.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
- Proficiency with precision diagnostic tools such as multimeters, micrometers, and voltage testers.
- Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industrial safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume plastic injection or blow molding environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise maintenance management software.
- Advanced certification or technical training in industrial electronics or automation.
