About the Role

This intensive training program is designed to equip transitioning service members and veterans with the expertise to excel in modern industrial controls and automation. Participants will develop system-level understanding, diagnostic capabilities, and hands-on proficiency in technologies critical to today's manufacturing environments. This program emphasizes practical problem-solving and prepares trainees for impactful roles in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently attend all instructional sessions, labs, coaching, and evaluations to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Complete all assigned exercises, labs, projects, and assessments to demonstrate competency in technical skills.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines within the housing and training environments to ensure a secure learning experience.
  • Actively engage in both individual and team-based learning activities, contributing to collaborative problem-solving efforts.
  • Showcase continuous improvement and growth in technical proficiency throughout the program.
  • Work with industrial controllers, HMIs, low-voltage motors, VFDs and instrumentation devices.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and mechanical systems to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • U.S. military veteran or transitioning service member in good standing.
  • Must provide a DD-214 to confirm military service and discharge status.
  • Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S. for job opportunities with program-affiliated manufacturing partners.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude gained through military service or civilian experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with three-phase power systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, including medium to high voltage applications.
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial systems and equipment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to quickly grasp and apply new technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
