About the Role
As a Cement Mason and Construction Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping the infrastructure of our community by expertly leveling, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces. You will leverage your technical proficiency with screeds, floats, and trowels to ensure every project meets rigorous quality and structural standards, directly impacting the durability and aesthetic of our finished work.
Responsibilities- Execute precise leveling and finishing of concrete surfaces using professional-grade screeds, floats, and trowels.
- Construct and align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and structural pillars, ensuring proper pitch and depth for optimal drainage and stability.
- Reinforce concrete structures by installing rebar and wire mesh, while accurately placing expansion joints to prevent future cracking.
- Manage the concrete pouring process by judging slump levels and coordinating material orders to maintain project timelines.
- Operate specialized equipment for saw cutting concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a secure and organized job site, ensuring all tools are properly stored to uphold high safety standards.
- Collaborate with the construction crew to perform strenuous manual labor, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in concrete finishing and 2 years in general construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and following oral or written instructions from site supervisors.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
