About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to champion equipment reliability, safety protocols, and operational excellence within our dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance budgets, and lead cross-functional teams. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead departmental metrics related to safety, quality standards, budgetary adherence, and production targets.
- Lead productivity initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams across various shifts and departments.
- Manage budget accounts specific to maintenance functions, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) expenses.
- Champion Continuous Improvement through the effective implementation of maintenance programs, focusing on waste reduction, productivity enhancement, and cycle time optimization.
- Ensure the success of operational and maintenance metrics, including delivery performance, productivity gains, equipment and parts inventory management, and quality assurance programs.
- Communicate daily with the management team regarding safety protocols, quality control measures, scheduling updates, delivery timelines, workload capacity, and staffing considerations.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
- Develop and maintain a sustainable preventative maintenance (PM) system to support productivity efficiencies across the plant.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to lean manufacturing principles.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing plant operations and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with CMMS software (e.g., MaintainX).
- Familiarity with integrated/computerized manufacturing systems; JDE experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of EPA regulations and environmental health and safety (EHS) protocols.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
